General Checks & Hygeine

At Fox Dental care, we offer a thorough annual exam with digital xrays. We are on the lookout for a hygeinist to add to our team for cleaning and maintanance of the gums and periodontal tissues; our dentists are happy to see you for this work currently.

Children under the age of 18 are free.

A general check with a dentist and detailed medical history is required prior to any appointments with a hygeinist.

Fillings & Restorative Repair

We offer both traditional amalgam(silver) and modern bonded composite(white) filling options.

Pricing and appointment length vary significantly tooth to tooth! You a welcome to ask at you annual check for a detailed estimate for cost and appointment lengths.

Gold and Porcelain Crowns

Crowns are a procedure most commonly done on the posterior molar teeth to retain strength and integrity of important chewing teeth. This is a very involved procedure and requires two longer appointments 2-3 weeks apart.

Research tells us all molar teeth with root canal treatments have greater longevity if they also have a gold or porcelain crown.

Root Canals

If the nerve tissue inside a tooth dies, you will need a root canal to save the tooth. This procedure involves cleaning out the hollow inside of a tooth and sealing it off from returning bacteria and infection. This procedure varies greatly in complexity - every root is a different shape and they are hidden from view under the gum. Some root treatments are best done by a specialist under a microscope. We are happy to send referrals where needed.

Dentures

We offer a range of dentures, flexible valplast dentures, full dentures, acrylic parial dentures and cobalt-chrome partial dentures.

Making dentures is a very custom procedure, Uncle Jimmy's denture wont fit you! It generally take 5 appointments to get your custom denture made and 2-4 adjustments after it is fitted to start getting comfortable.
